Background of the Study
Corruption remains one of the key challenges hindering development in Nigeria, particularly at the local government level. Political will is essential in tackling corruption, as it influences the enforcement of policies and the implementation of anti-corruption measures (Eze & Olise, 2020). In Gombe LGA, Gombe State, several anti-corruption initiatives have been launched, but their success largely depends on the commitment of political leaders to ensure accountability and transparency. This study examines the role of political will in addressing corruption in Gombe LGA through the lens of anti-corruption initiatives.
